This sweetheart is the brother of the Feb. 08 pastel below. I love doing siblings as I get to know the family so well. They have a little brother I look forward to painting.

Austin

I just got back from photographing in Austin, TX. The child was one of the cutest kids I've ever seen with a personality to match. His mom wants the portrait to reflect Austin's laid back, eclectic style. What he was wearing and the backdrop of downtown's San Jose hotel were perfect! I can't wait to start his portrait. My husband and I also got to camp and explore out in the Texas hill country with my brother and his wife that live near Houston.

In Memory of Striker

Aug. 1994-Oct. 1, 2010

No cat could out-purr, out-eat, or be a cooler cat than this one. He never met anyone he didn't like or a kid who didn't love him. He had been a model for kids in art classes and was a favorite at show & tell. He was a wonderful companion to my children and their friends. Striker was a "whole lotta kitty". We miss him!
